SEATTLE, WA, UNITED STATES, April 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- House of Smith, the groundbreaking winery founded by visionary Charles Smith, today announces the highly anticipated release of Charles and Blossom Fury Riesling. The electrifying sequel to Smith’s global phenomenon Kung Fu Girl Riesling that was originally released in 2006 and later sold, Blossom Fury is available now at houseofsmith.com, Total Wine and retailers nationwide. Charles is known for making wines that meet the moment and this new wine is designed for what drinkers are looking for - a fresh, minerally, thirst quenching flavor explosion that is delicious, affordable and ready to drink.— Charles Smith, founder of House of Smith
Blossom Fury is a fierce, seductive wine that is poised to put dry American riesling on the map. Capturing the singular beauty and purposeful intent of its Eastern Washington origins, it reflects the "fury of blossoms" that awakens each spring with bold aromatic character, floral notes and bright acidity that is a true palate pleaser. It’s a little mysterious, a little seductive, and impossible to ignore.
“With Charles and Blossom Fury, we're not just making a sequel; we’re opening the next chapter of the great American riesling story," said Charles Smith, founder of House of Smith. "This wine is undeniably electric and a direct continuation of my journey with riesling.”
The Taste
Aroma of peach, apple and cherry blossoms. A seismic eruption of cool stone fruit, subtle lime leaf with a crystallin minerality that races through this beautiful wine. It’s electric!
The Vintage
The 2024 Washington State harvest produced wines of remarkable complexity, focus, and intensity—beautifully expressive and fascinating in character. Blossom Fury was fermented in stainless steel to preserve its vibrant, authentic profile and is available for $18.
The Vineyard: Evergreen (100%)
Planted in 1998 by Jerry Milbrandt, the vineyard lies along a stretch of steep cliffs above the Columbia River in the Ancient Lakes. A cooler site due to river influence, the soils are composed of fragmented basalt, gravel, silt, and caliche deposited during
ice age floods. As with all of Milbrandt’s vineyards, Evergreen is farmed using sustainable practices. This site produces fruit with sublime mineral character and great acidity, a balance that winemakers adore.
Global Growth
House of Smith's brand and global reach continue on a steep growth trajectory and is Washington State’s largest winemaker owned winery, with wines now poised to be available in 71 countries and six duty-free markets worldwide. Through a distribution partnership with Pasqua Wines of Verona, Italy, the company is delivering more award-winning wine across the globe.
